Massapequa Reservoir is a freshwater fishing spot within Massapequa Preserve in Nassau County. Shoreline paths provide access to the water, and DEC describes it as a popular local fishery.
Where to fish
The reservoir lies south of Clark Street and north of Sunrise Highway, between Lake Shore Drive and Parkside Boulevard. Use our directions and parking guide to plan your visit. Boats are prohibited; access is from the shoreline.
Fish in Massapequa Reservoir
DEC lists largemouth bass, pumpkinseed, bluegill, brown bullhead, carp and American eel among its naturally reproducing fish. Brown and rainbow trout are also stocked. Stocking does not guarantee a catch, and conditions change through the seasons.
