In the southernmost section is Massapequa Reservoir which is considered one of the most popular fishing spots in all of Nassau County. It is stocked with trout which can really draw people, especially in the weekends. Some of the fish include:

Brown Bullhead
Carp
American Eel
The lake has had a long history as a fishery even going back into the 1800’s. Back then, people used to take the Long Island Railroad to Massapequa just to go fishing.
